The historical Howard Theatre was built in 1910 and added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1974. In the 1950s the theatre was the house of rock n’ roll and rhythm and blues. In 2010 the theatre was renovated and restored Martinez + Johnson Architecture with the help of Marsha Moya Design. Throughout the next year the Howard Theatre will be the host of many upcoming concerts including Sevyn Streeter and Guinuine.
