The 4th Annual Appaloosa Roots Music Festival, hosted by nationally touring band, Scythian, is Labor Day Weekend, August 31 – September 2, 2018, in Front Royal, VA. Just one hour from Washington, D.C., on the scenic Skyline Ranch Resort – nestled under the iconic Blue Ridge Mountains – Appaloosa has featured Grammy Award winners and critically acclaimed rising stars in Bluegrass, Americana, Folk, Celtic, and more. In 2017, Appaloosa drew 6,000 people from across the country, with D.C.’s preeminent music venue – The Hamilton – as a major sponsor. Appaloosa 2018 headliners include Scythian, Gaelic Storm, Mandolin Orange, Town Mountain, Humming House, and Six-String Soldiers.
Appaloosa will feature free music workshops throughout the weekend, an exclusive late-night music jam with headliners, on-site VIP camping, RVs, cabins, and chalets, local food and craft vendors, a kids zone, and a beer garden featuring Virginia craft beer – from Starr Hill and Bold Rock Cider – as well as local choice wines.
