BOND ST DISTRICT
Bond St. District, a duo comprised of rapper DDm and producer Paul Hutson, came together after a chance meeting one summer outside a local nightclub. After several conversations, the pair began working on a series of songs that would eventually become their first EP ‘Everybody’s So Sleepy’. The self released project garnered critical and regional praise, earning the group opening spots alongside Future Islands, Beach House, Dan Deacon, and Young Fathers among others.
Their debut album ‘ A Church on Vulcan’ was released in November 2016. The eleven song set displays the duo’s crossover potential, with sounds that range from evangelical preaching to in-your-face realism, all polished off by Paul’s sharp and colorful production. Known for their notoriously engrossing and cinematic live performances, the group was recently showcased as a featured act at Hopscotch music festival, as well as, sharing stages alongside Big Freedia and Miike Snow. Setting their sights on greater horizons, Bond St. District will begin their first U.S. tour in the spring 2017.
