BRIAN FARROW AND THE CLIFFHANGERS

Insta: @thecliffhangerz

Brian Farrow is a DC based multi instrumentalist and bandleader that has been influenced by a broad spectrum of musics. He’s been part of many local groups like the trad jazz based Capital Focus Jazz Band headed by David Robinson, the the hardbop inspired Krewetet headed by Alvin Trask, arabic folk experimentalist Huda Asfour, bluesman Jonny Grave, the R&B stylings for Tara Trinity, and nationally as a member of the traditional appalachian inspired Hackensaw Boys, New York folk group Spirit Family Reunion, and the Grammy Award winning Dom Flemons the American Songster.

The Cliffhangers is Farrow’s homage to the international branches of 40’s and 50’s rock n’ roll starting with the advent of ska in the 60’s with artist like Lord Creator, Prince Buster, and The Wailers. In exploring these roots and branches, The Cliffhangers create a international inclusive narrative for the story of rock n’ roll.
