When 16 year old singer/songwriter Daniel Skye sent out a Tweet that he would be performing at the local mall, over one thousand screaming girls came to greet him. Dedicating the last two years of his life to music, Daniel has amassed a considerable amount of popularity online, with over 5 million combined followers on his social platforms (2.5 million Instagram,672k Twitter, 523k YouTube/Vevo, 300k Facebook, 1.8 million Musical.ly, and growing ever day). He has as over 28 million streams on Spotify, and over 20 million on YouTube.
At such a young age, Skye already has some touring mileage under his belt, performing sold out shows at major venues across the U.S. He released his first original song “Maybe” in December 2014, which quickly gained popularity with young fans. He then released his second original song “LoveSick Day,” which charted at #86 on the iTunes Pop charts. In May 2015, he released “All I Want” (feat. Cameron Dallas). The song debuted on iHeart, and immediately climbed the iTunes Pop charts to #12 in the US, and charted as high as top 5 in various international territories. His next song, “We Got Us” was released as a dedication to his fans, inspiring thousands of collaborative fan made videos and #WeGotUs pictures. Skye’s first 2016 release, “Smile,” was licensed to a nationwide Sonicare commercial, and featured on Sirius XM’s YouTube Top15 Countdown.
In September of 2016, Daniel officially announced his signing as an artist to RCA Records, with the release of “Good As It Gets.” He then kicked off 2017 with the release of his newest single “ON,” 1/13, Daniel received attention from Seventeen, Tiger Beat, J-14 and more with Perez Hilton posting” “Bieber, Mendes….Skye?…new teen on the scene is getting lots of traction with the youngsters and his latest single, On, should get him a lot of older teen and young 20s fans too!”
