Experience the best of D.C.’s local music with this limited edition Rock the Stacks record produced exclusively for the previous ALB Rock the Stacks Music Festival at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library on February 24, 2017. Although the event has come and gone, you can still experience the local sounds of our city.
All proceeds from album sales will benefit DC Public Library.
Rock the Stacks is a DC Public Library fundraising project, initiated last year. The project is in memory of Annie Lou Berman, an avid music supporter and member of the DCPL Foundation board, who passed away last year. Her friends and colleagues gathered local musicians to produce an album, some of the tracks recorded at the MLK Library studio in fact. Other tracks on the album are singles donated by the band not previously released on other albums (except for Thievery Corporation’s contribution, which has been previously released).
