FREDY V returns to the DMV with special guest SAINT T!
Fredy V. is a singer, songwriter and bandleader whose talent and charisma have captivated audiences across continents. Fredy V’s performance channels the great funk band leaders such as Sly, George Clinton and Prince and contemporaries like D’angelo and Andre 3000. Backed by his all-star band The Foundation, Fredy V’s magnetic energy delivers a powerful performance making his live show a must see experience. Born and raised in Washington DC to Senegalese and Cape Verdien parents, he moved to Montreal and made his mark with the city’s improv crew The Kalmunity Vibe Collective. From 2009-2016 he fronted the celebrated disco group The Boogie Wonder Band and collaborated with multiple acts like UK neb-soul pioneer Omar and Grammy-award winning group Snarky Puppy ft. Malika Tirolien. After sharing the stage with iconic acts such as Kool & The Gang, Fredy spread his own wings and embarked on his journey as a solo artist, releasing his first full-length album #ItTakesAVillage co-produced by Borza Ghomeshi and keyboardist Anomalie.
Saint T is a singer, songwriter and keyboardist born and bred in the Washington, D.C. area. It was over 2 decades ago that she first sat down at the piano, and since then she has determined to make a life for herself revolving around music. And she has accomplished just that performed for audiences across the United States and in Europe. In 2013, Saint T released her debut EP, “The Hour” (under the name Stephanie Kristina), which was a 2015 Independent Music Awards Nominee for Best Urban EP. Currently, Saint T is recording her follow-up project, slated for a Spring 2018 release. The first single from the yet-to-be-titled project, “IDK” will be released in April 2018.
