Come join Lucid Petrichord on Friday, May 19th as we bring the house down in Tropicalia with fellow DC bands Dr. Badlove and the Remedies, and Mirror Factory. We’re partnering with Many Languages One Voice – a DC-based group that fosters leadership and facilitates community-led initiatives to increase the meaningful inclusion of immigrants in the District of Columbia who do not speak English as their primary language. 50% of our ticket sales will be donated to MLOV, so stop by Tropicalia Friday evening, May 19th to get your groove on and help support a meaningful cause!
Lucid Petrichord is a garage soul band that blends funk, soul, and rock with a lot of groove, styled in the vein of Vulfpeck, Hiatus Kaiyote, Lake Street Dive, and Jamiroquai and is fresh off their debut at Velvet Lounge. LP features DC-based Cindy on vocals, Fahd on bass, Mike on drums, and Michael on guitars.
Dr. BadLove and the Remedies blends deep funk, hip-hop, dancehall riddims and go-go beats with live vocals, smooth electric guitar, bass, synthesizer rifts, and infectious digital drumming. Dr. Badlove consists of Washington groomed musicians multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Barrie Williams, drummer/vocalist Phil Marnell and vocalist/rapper Chris Bulbulia.
Mirror Factory is a female fronted rock band and includes five experienced DC musicians seeking a new sound. Their music reflects a variety of influences including new wave, hard rock, and trip-hop. The band recently released their first full-length album. The band features Debbie on vocals, Damien on guitar, Jorge on bass, Jill on keyboards, and Esteban on drums.
