Described as “musical misfits” by NPR, Megan Mullally and Stephanie Hunt joined forces to form their self-described punk-showbiz band, Nancy And Beth, after meeting on a movie set in 2011. Together with their gypsy band of mystics, jazz pastors and Austin, Texas wild west tea-heads, this bluesy duo spans genres—from folk and bluegrass to swing and trap music—to deliver tight harmonies, hypnotic dancing, and spoken pleasantries.
In 2017, Nancy And Beth toured the US and UK extensively in support of their self-titled debut LP, while coyly refusing to explain to journalists why the “And” is capitalized. Tour stops included Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival, Newport Folk, a debut at the Grand Ole Opry, Philly Pride, NPR Mountain Stage, and opening for the Pixies. A second album is on the way.
