PUBLIQuartet: Freedom and Faith

Reigning Metropolitan Museum of Art Quartet-in-Residence PUBLIQuartet launched to national attention in 2016 with their acclaimed “Requiem for a Debate” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Known as the definitive “leaders of the New School” (Symphony Magazine), the ensemble presents a program of works by a diverse body of composers.

Program includes works by Jessie Montgomery, Meredith Monk, Caroline Shaw, Jihyun Kim, and more including the world premiere of a Washington Performing Arts co-commission by composer Jessica Meyer.

Washington Performing Arts performances at Sixth & I are made possible by the Abramson Family Foundation.
