New York-based DJ/Producer Henry Steinway, RL Grime, released his first EP on LA’s collective WeDidIt back in 2012 and hasn’t stopped since then. However, he is probably most known for his remix of Kanye West’s Mercy, gaining over 8 million plays on Soundcloud and solidifying his title as one of the Trap greats. It is his ability to combine hip-hop with electronic that makes his music not only a festival favorite but also well respected in the industry with artists such as Big Sean and Benny Benassi wanting to work with him and remixes of the Weeknd’s The Hills racking up millions of listens on Soundcloud. His songs are a harmonious blend of southern hip-hop and electronic music, creating a sound that is purely his own and has a unique ability to reshape how we hear dance music.
