Julian Scanlan is no stranger to the music industry. Starting at the young age of 12, Scanlan released one album with psychedelic power-pop band Deuteronomy and stayed with them from 2009-2012. Throughout his time with the band he could be found working on electronic music, remixing some of his favorite songs. Then in 2013, Scanlan began to put out his remixes on Soundcloud under the moniker DJ Swoon. Unfortunately, his songs were taken down and taking it as a sign, a new musical project was started: Slushii. As he started to release remixes throughout 2015, slowly gaining fans, it wasn’t until 2015 that Slushii would capture the attention of major players with his remix of Want U 2 with then newbie Marshmallo. Since then he has played all the major dance festivals, remixed some of the top artists, and self-released his debut EP “Brain Freeze”. With his unique blend of dubstep and future bass, it really is no surprise that Slushii has taken the world by storm.
