In the spirit of International Women’s Day, join ANERA in celebrating the boldness and drive of women in the Middle East.
On Tuesday, March 7 at 6PM, ANERA will host a screening of the documentary film Speed Sisters at Songbyrd Music House & Record Cafe. The film tells the story of the first all-women race car team in the Middle East, which happens to be made up of rebellious and resilient Palestinian women from the West Bank. Proceeds from the event will benefit ANERA’s development and aid work for refugees and poor communities in Palestine and Lebanon.
Join us on an exhilarating journey that showcases the strength of Palestinian women to triumph over obstacles and stereotypes – whether behind the wheel or not.
**Songbyrd’s bar will be open downstairs.**
