Kate Simko is a Chicago native whose sets are steeped in the traditions of both the Windy and Motor Cities. Her pedigree boasts releases on Ghostly Int’l, Hello?Repeat, Last Night On Earth and a residency at Chicago’s Smart Bar. The London Electronic Orchestra, which she leads, comes from a convergence of her love of dance music and her more classical background. Varhat is one of the leading talents of the now emergent French minimal scene. He continues to enrapture listeners the world over with his effervescent, rolling analogue grooves. We are honored to host both acts for this edition of Sunday Love. Flash resident Dansman returns from the left-coast to kick off the proceedings.

Kate Simko & the London Electronic Orchestra is a groundbreaking out-of-the box band from London. Led by composer/DJ Kate Simko, LEO intricately fuses Kate’s background as a classical pianist with her Chicago roots in electronic music. Comprised of two violins, two cellos, upright bass, harp, and Kate on keys, London Electronic Orchestra is an inimitable blend of lush strings weaving in-and-out of synths and loose grooved beats. The group has created a buzz with appearances at iTunes Festival, Boiler Room, Latitude Festival, HEART Ibiza, Bestival, and Midem, and recently released their debut self-titled album on the The Vinyl Factory.
