The Baylor Project “CD Release Party”

The Baylor Project, featuring the husband and wife team Marcus and Jean Baylor, returns to Blues Alley by popular demand. Individually the Baylors have recorded and performed with artists such as Yellowjackets, Kenny Garrett, Buster Williams, and Cassandra Wilson. Marcus is a Grammy-nominated artist who has been described as a virtuoso whose style of playing transcends genre and category. Jean is a platinum-selling artist whose sweet sultry voice is poignant, smooth and intoxicatingly ear friendly like a young, modern day Nancy Wilson. With this sextet, Marcus and Jean explore the breadth and range of their musical influences combining jazz, blues, soul and gospel to create a soulful, melodic, and authentic music of their own.
