The Freedom Fair feat. Downtown Boys

Art Takes Action is a DC-based initiative to combine live music and art with societal involvement.
This is our first event, held to benefit the National Chapter of the ACLU.
Join us Friday, February 3rd at the Black Cat, for a night of music and opportunity.

DC-based Exploding In Sound artist.

DIY electropop music in Chinese, Spanish, and English.

With special guest

A venue-wide expo on topics including:
– Freedom of congregation: Protestor’s rights
– Freedom of acknowledgement: Societal stigmas
– Freedom of education: What is and is not allowed to be taught in schools
– Freedom of speech: How the First Amendment works & affects you
– Freedom of presentation: Your right to dress the way you want without harrassment
– Getting involved in your local government
