FedEx Field opened in 1997 and is the home of the Nation Football League’s Washington Redskins. Originally the stadium was named after its previous owner, Jack Kent Cooke Stadium but that changed in 1999 when Daniel Snyder became the owner and FedEx bought the naming rights to the stadium. The stadium’s design capacity is 81,000 with five levels of seating. FedEx Field has been the host of College Football games, and international soccer matches throughout the years as well as concerts for some of the top artist in the world. This upcoming year U2 will make a stop at FedEx Field for the Joshua Tree tour as well as Coldplay with their tour A Head Full of Dreams.
