Jackmaster is the Glaswegian jock responsible for Sub Club club night-turned-label Numbers. The former Rubadub clerk now tours the world on his merits as a selector alone, with no production output to speak of. Yet, the Scot boasts plenty of notables, chief among them being ranked #5 and #2 in RA’s 2015 and 2016 Top 100 DJs Polls, respectively. His sets are frenetic and far-reaching, with nary a dull moment in sight and no record to be considered off limits. In his own words, Jack’s “just trying to tell a story.” Simple, then. Let’s party.
For this occasion, he’s joined by the Dutch-born, NoVA-based head of 3024, Martyn. Much like his studio output, Martyn’s sets are based on musicality and energy in equal parts, layering tracks to produce a rapt exploration of melancholy, futurism and dancefloor hypnotism.
